Financial aid eligibility is sumbitted on a student's behalf by Gordon ISD to the college based on the student's economic status indicator as is determined information turned in on the Free and Reduced Lunch Application or the Socioeconomic Form turned in during student registration to the district.

Students are eligible to enroll at no cost to the student (tuition and textbook fees) in a dual credit course under the FAST (Financial Aid) program if they are:

1. enrolled in an eligible dual credit course, as defined in TAC, Section 13.501, at a public school district or charter school (i.e., eligible for Foundation School Program funding);
2. taking a course offered through an institutional agreement, as outlined in TAC, Section 4.84, from an institution of higher education that has opted to participate in FAST; and
3. educationally disadvantaged in the academic year the student enrolled in the dual credit course, or were educationally disadvantaged in any of the four school years before the academic year of enrollment in the dual credit course.

Occasionally, a student may not meet the FAST financial aid criteria, but may qualify for additional aid by applying for financial aid through the FAFSA process.
